Science's Challenges: Human-AI Partnership
"Artificial intelligence will be a tool in the hands of scientists. I’d like to be at least its partner, if not the one who remains wiser. But that will be a challenge to fight for," says Prof. Dariusz Mikielewicz, Vice-Rector for Research at Gdańsk Tech and Director of the Institute of Energy at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, during the podcast.
In the discussion, Prof. Mikielewicz delves into critical issues such as bureaucratic requirements in science, the evaluation system for scientific publications, and the unique challenges faced by doctoral students. He highlights the difficulties of balancing daily comfort with the growing demand for energy and points to the role of conventional energy systems in environmental pollution—a problem that also affects Poland. The professor also shares details about projects carried out in collaboration with domestic and international partners.
The conversation was conducted by Agata Cymanowska and Barbara Kuklińska-Nowak from the Promotion and Press Office of Gdańsk Tech.
