The event, held at the Hevelius and Fahrenheit Courtyards, attracted numerous candidates interested in continuing their education. The Open Day was an opportunity to explore the master’s degree programs, talk to faculty staff, students, and representatives of key industrial sectors.

During the event, a wide range of master’s programs tailored to the evolving labor market was presented. As part of the "Studies 5.0" project ("Studies 5.0: Study Programs for Key National Industry Sectors", aimed at aligning education offerings with economic development needs and green and digital transformation), candidates had the chance to learn about programs such as:

  • Space and Satellite Technologies – preparing students for careers in the space sector, including systems engineering, navigation, and satellite telecommunications.
  • Energy – focusing on the design, construction, and operation of energy systems, both conventional and renewable.
  • Nuclear Energy – a new program equipping students with competencies in nuclear system operation and safety.
  • Transport – training specialists in infrastructure and transport system management.
  • Materials Engineering – centered on modern materials used across various industries.
  • Chemical Technology – covering advanced chemical technologies, industrial analytics, and polymer and functional materials engineering.

The master's program offerings include 33 study programs across 8 faculties, with some programs conducted entirely in English. Gdańsk University of Technology continuously adapts its curriculum to market realities, enabling students to flexibly combine studies with professional careers.

The Open Day featured presentations, lectures, and expert meetings. At the Fahrenheit Courtyard, engaging talks were held on topics such as renewable energy, space technologies, and materials engineering. Participants also had the chance to visit selected university laboratories, where innovative research solutions applied in modern industrial technologies were showcased. At the Hevelius Courtyard, faculty booths, student research groups, the Doctoral School, and the PhD Student Council were present. Representatives of companies collaborating with the university were also available, sharing their experiences and job opportunities for graduates.

For those unable to attend in person, Gdańsk University of Technology has prepared a recording of the event, available on the university’s YouTube channel.
