First Young Researchers Forum | Gdańsk University of Technology

The meeting was surrounded by an open and positive atmosphere, inspiring conversations and exchange of experiences. We worked in four thematic areas:   

• digital and didactic competences, universal design and green transformation, 

• academic entrepreneurship, research and design work, 

• information management, communication and organizational skills, 

• teamwork in a psychological context. 

Participants divided into groups developed a set of each subject and expressed their needs. Among them, the following ideas appeared: ethics in AI, information management, close collaboration with business, public speaking, student’s activation. Ph.D. students pointed what types of support they expect. Mainly they’ve mentioned training, internships, thematic subjects in the Doctoral School teaching program.  

The results of the event will be taken into account in terms of the NCBR project called “Teaching Excellence”, and ideas will be hand over to the relevant Gdańsk Tech units, as well used as a background to the HR4R Strategy for the next two years.
