For the first time, Young Researchers can submit their own project ideas!

Project proposals for the Gdańsk University of Technology Participatory Budget can be submitted until 14 November via the online application form. This year, in addition to university employees and students, young researchers are also invited to take part in the initiative.

In the 2026 edition of the Participatory Budget, a total of PLN 600,000 is available: PLN 210,000 for employee projects, PLN 210,000 for young researchers’ proposals, and PLN 180,000 for student projects. Each proposer must obtain the support of five members of the university community, describe their idea, and estimate the cost of its implementation.

Submitted projects should be infrastructure-oriented – either investment or renovation projects – and should contribute to at least one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Projects aligned with the areas defined in the Strategy for Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and the University’s Declaration of Social Responsibility for 2024–2030 will receive an additional 10% of the votes cast for the project.
