Young Researchers Forum and Debate on AI

debate
On Friday, October 24th, the next edition of the Young Researchers Forum took place. This time, it was held in the form of an Oxford-style debate and concluded with a networking session.

Two teams of young researchers, led respectively by Damian Głowienka PhD, Deputy Chair of the Young Researchers Team, and Aleksandra Ławniczak Msc, Chair of the Doctoral Students’ Council of Gdańsk Tech, faced off in a debate on the motion: Artificial intelligence has a positive impact on our lives and the development of science.

Although the debate was closely contested, the team supporting the motion emerged victorious. Both the three-member jury Marita McPhillips PhD, Tomasz Majchrzak PhD and Agnieszka Lendzion PhD and the audience voted in favor of the positive influence of AI.
