Universities of the Future Day at Gdańsk Tech
The participants were welcomed by Prof. Mariusz Kaczmarek, Vice-Rector for Education, and Agnieszka Lendzion, PhD Eng., Head of the Young Researchers Office.
Student Ideas and Innovative Solutions
The main focus of the event was a series of presentations delivered by students from the first recruitment round. The diversity of their projects demonstrated the wide range of topics that can be explored through student-led initiatives within the programme, from solutions supporting education and the design of inclusive spaces to biodegradable materials and technological innovations.
The projects presented included:
-
“Neuro-Friendly Space – How to Design Spaces for Children with ADHD?” – a project by Marcelina Rudzińska and Weronika Przychodzeń.
-
“AcademiX” – a project by Joachim Woźniak and Tomasz Rydz Kozłowski.
-
“PackGuard” – a project by Majkel Pasturczak and Mateusz Strawczyński.
-
“Biodegradable PHA Composites with Cork Granules for Thermally Insulating Single-Use Products” – a project by Krzysztof Rekowski and Kajetan Siemienowicz.
-
“URWIS” – a project by Maksym Domkowski, Łukasz Gede-Niewiadomski and Julian Baron.
The event programme also included a presentation by Michał Grzebski.
Students presented their projects in short sessions, followed by time for questions and discussion. For participants from the second recruitment round, the event provided an opportunity to learn about ideas developed by students who had joined the project earlier.

Universities of the Future – Supporting the Development of Student Ideas
The “Universities of the Future” project supports students in developing their skills and implementing their own initiatives through the innovative Personalised Education Model (MES).
Participants can benefit from academic and business mentoring, specialised workshops and micro-courses. The programme also offers the possibility of receiving financial support of up to PLN 20,000 to implement an original project.
This approach enables students to pursue their interests, gain practical project experience and apply their academic knowledge in practice.
Third Recruitment Round for the “Universities of the Future” Project to Open Soon
The third recruitment round for the project will open soon. We encourage students to follow the project website, where information on recruitment dates and application requirements will be published.
