Doctoral School at Gdańsk Tech

Yes. Gdańsk Tech’s Dormitory No. 12 (DS12) is intended for PhD students. Newly admitted PhD students apply using a dedicated online form, which they receive through the admissions system after indicating their interest in accommodation.

The Doctoral School does not allocate accommodation; its role is limited to providing the application form. For accommodation enquiries, please contact the Accommodation Centre at akademiki@pg.edu.pl.

The full list of accepted certificates, together with details of other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency, is published with the Admission Rules, which are usually available around November.

We recommend checking the requirements well in advance and scheduling a language test if needed, allowing enough time to prepare and receive your results.

The Doctoral School can issue certificates confirming your admission to support your visa application. However, we have no influence over how your visa application is processed or how long it takes at the embassy or consulate, and we cannot speed up the decision. We do not have detailed information about how consular authorities assess individual applications.

If your diploma was issued outside Poland, you may need to have it authenticated as part of the admissions process. The procedure depends on the country of issue and the applicable international agreements. A diploma issued in a European country is not automatically exempt from apostille or legalisation requirements.

An apostille is used where the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention applies. In other cases, legalisation may be required. Before starting the process, check which form of authentication is required for your document and which authorities are responsible for the procedure.

The Doctoral School does not issue apostilles or legalise foreign documents.
