Using Library resources | Gdańsk University of Technology

In order to borrow books, you must have an activated library account.

Books can be ordered in three ways using the online catalog, a self-service device or directly from a given Gdańsk Tech Library Branch:

1. Books with the location "Magazyn" (Library Storage) are ordered by the user from the home page of the Gdańsk Tech Library by logging into the online catalog. After logging in, the person orders an available copy from the Library Storage location, indicating the Information Lending Library or self-check out machine (in Main Building) as a pickup location. The book can be picked up after receiving the notification to the e-mail address assigned to the library account, information about the order ready for collection will also be found in the reader's account in the "Orders" tab. A student ID is required for collection, both at the Information Lending Library or self-check out machine. You can "Queue up" for items in stock that are on loan at a given moment.
2. Books located in the free access in the hall of the Main Library, can be ordered via a self-service device - we choose the desired book from the shelf and borrow it ourselves using a self-service device.
3. Books from the reading rooms/branches can be borrowed for a short period.
4. Collections with a location "Magazyn Składowy" (Warehouse Storage) consist of continuous publications. Orders for articles from these collections should be submitted to: nano.bpg@pg.edu.pl. Articles are forwarded to the user by e-mail for use within the scope of permitted personal use. It can take up to 3 working days for an order to be processed.

Notice: by the 30th of April 2024 appliesamnesty of fines for overdue books.

Books should be returned on time or extended for another period online or by contacting the Gdańsk Tech Library. Failure to meet the return deadline will result in charging the fee and blocking the user's account.

Books should be returned to the place from which you borrowed them.

1. Books from the location of "the Library Storage" and "the Library Hall" must be returned using the Drop (self-service device in the Main Building, on the left side of the entrance to the Main Library).
2. Books with the location of a given branch should be returned on a self-service device located in a given branch or, if there is no such device, directly to the librarian or at the night safe in the Gdańsk Tech Main Building.

The Gdańsk Tech Library provides access to electronic books, journals and databases. The users are all students, doctoral students and employees of Gdansk University of Technology. The website "E-resources" provides detailed information on available electronic resources.

Computer stations

The Gdańsk Tech Library provides users with computer workstations. After logging in with your own login and library password in the Gdańsk Tech network, you can access:

• electronic collections through a multi-search engine and the "E-resources" tab on the Library's website,
• library catalogue,
• general access to websites.

Wireless Internet

Access to wireless Internet from personal computers is possible on the premises of the Gdańsk Tech campus through the Eduroam service only for authorized Gdańsk Tech users - logging in the same way as to the Moja PG platform. Instructions how to connect devices with the system:
