Doctoral dissertations before public defense
Information on the currently conducted proceedings at Gdańsk University of Technology for the award of the doctoral degree is available on the website of the Bulletin of Public Information (Biuletyn Informacji Publicznej) of Gdańsk University of Technology.
Additionally, at least two weeks before the planned date of public defense, paper versions of doctoral dissertations are made available in the Standards Archive.
Doctoral dissertations after public defense
Paper versions of doctoral dissertations are available in the Main Reading Room. In order to gain access to the dissertation, you should order it from the librarian on duty by providing the call number from the online catalogue of the Gdańsk Tech Library.
Electronic versions of doctoral dissertations, based on the doctoral student's statement (Annexes 2/1 and 2/2 to the Regulations of the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology No. 30/2022 of April 14, 2022 and No. 5/2015 of February 10, 2015) are available in Pomorska Digital Library (defended in 2007-2016) and on the MOST Wiedzy (Bridge of Knowledge) platform (defended since 2017).
Additionally, each author has the option to publish the doctoral dissertation independently in the Bridge of Knowledge Open Access Repository via the MojaPG portal or directly on the MOST Wiedzy (Bridge of Knowledge) platform. In case of registration via MojaPG, the publication will be automatically exported to the repository after prior approval.
In the event of a change in the decision contained in the doctoral student's statement (Annexes 2/1 and 2/2 to the Regulation of the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology No. 30/2022 of April 14, 2022 or Annexes No. 2/1 and 2/2 to the Regulation of the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology No. 5/2015 of February 10, 2015) concerning the dissemination of the content of the doctoral dissertation in the open institutional repository of the Gdańsk University of Technology, it is possible to withdraw the full text.
In order to remove the full text, a declaration regarding the change of the decision of the Scientific and Technical Information Services should be submitted. The declaration should be made in writing and submitted in electronic form or in person in print. The declaration should contain information about the willingness to withdraw the file containing the full text of the doctoral dissertation from the open repository of Gdańsk University of Technology, the title of the dissertation, name and surname of the author, signature and date (if a paper version of the declaration is provided).
