Access to doctoral dissertations after the defence
Doctoral theses defended at Gdańsk Tech are processed on an ongoing basis, and information about them is available in the online catalogue.
Printed versions of thesis are available on site in the Main Reading Room, where readers may consult the content of a thesis. To access a thesis, it must be ordered from the librarian on duty.
Electronic versions of doctoral theses are available via:
- MOST Wiedzy – theses defended from 2017 onwards
- Pomeranian Digital Library – theses defended between 2007 and 2016
Doctoral theses are collected based on the author’s declarations included in Annex No. 2/1 and 2/2 to the Regulations of the Rector No. 30/2022 of April 14, 2022 and No. 5/2015 of February 10, 2015.
Doctoral candidates are required to complete the author’s declaration for the doctoral dissertation, in which they specify the manner of making the thesis available in the repository after the defence.
Authors also have the option to publish their doctoral thesis independently via the MojaPG portal. After approval, the publication will be automatically exported to the MOST Wiedzy repository.
If a doctoral candidate changes the decision stated in the author’s declaration, it is possible to withdraw the full text of the doctoral thesis from the Gdańsk Tech repository.

- a statement expressing the intention to withdraw the file containing the full text of the doctoral thesis from the open repository of Gdańsk University of Technology
- the title of the thesis
- the author’s full name
