The Gdańsk University of Technology Library consists of the Main Library and eight branches. Each location offers space for users to study and work.
Main Library:
The Main Library houses the Lending Room and Hall, the Main Reading Room, the Standards Reading Room and the Library Storage, which processes book orders placed via the online catalogue.

In the Hall space there is an open access scientific book collection arranged in 11 sections (Architecture, Chemistry, Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Electrical and Control Engineering, Physics, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanics, Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, Management and Economics) and open access popular science and fiction books, as well as popular science journals. Within the Library you can connect to the Eduroam wireless Internet network (if you encounter any problems connecting to the network, please contact the CUI Helpdesk (IT Services Center)).
Tasks of the Lending Room:
- preparing and lending books ordered by users via the online catalogue,
- support for users in using open access collections,
- providing comprehensive information about the Library's collections and services,
- registration to the Library for users from outside Gdańsk University of Technology,
- settlement of circulation cards,
- issuing referrals to other libraries,
- support in the operation of self-service devices (book machines, stands for borrowing and returning books).
The Hall offers:
- over 20 work stations,
- access to 4 acoustic cabins for quiet learning (2 cabins for 1-person, 1 cabin for 2-person and 1 for up to 4 people). The cabins are equipped with adjustable LED lighting and ventilation activated by a presence sensor, a 230V socket, 2 USB ports, an RJ45 network cable, it is also possible to hang a TV to display a presentation (possibility of booking by Gdańsk Tech employees, details: Reservation of work space),
- mobile creative wall equipped with a dry-wipe board and upholstered panel with the possibility to hang a TV,
- 2 computer stations with Internet access and a basic office package, as well as electronic databases and Polish standards,
- 2 infomats allowing access to the catalogue,
- 2-person table adapted to the needs of people with special needs,
- self-service scanner,
- device for self-service rentals and returns (self-check),
- a drop box for self-service returns outside library opening hours.

Tasks of the Reading Room:
- providing on-site reading and storage collections as well as the book collection of the Historical Collections and Early Printed Books Lab,
- short-term rentals (for 1 day),
- comprehensive information and library activities, including information about the Library's services and collections (regardless of their location and form),
- bibliographic consultations and assistance in collecting literature on a selected topic.
The reading room offers:
- 40 workstations,
- access to 3 acoustic cabins for quiet learning (each cabin for up to 4 people). The cabins are equipped with adjustable LED lighting and ventilation activated by a presence sensor, a 230V socket, 2 USB ports, an RJ45 network cable, it is also possible to hang a TV to display a presentation,
- 2 acoustic lounge chairs equipped with a sliding front panel mechanism which allows the user to detach from the environment, the chairs also have a USB charger,
- 3 computer workstations with access to the Internet and MS Office, as well as electronic databases and Polish standards, including: 1 workstation for people with visual and motor challenges, 1 workstation for working with the book collection of the Studio of Historic Collections and Old Prints of the Gdańsk Tech Library,
- self-service scanner,
- an elevator for people with special needs.

Polish PN standards are available in the Standards Reading Room. The subject matter of the collections covers the full range of topics of the International Classification of Standards (ICS). The Reading Room contains standards in paper form issued until 1 April 2009 (including withdrawn archival standards) and the entire collection of Polish PN standards in electronic form, made available at computer workstations to Gdańsk Tech employees and students. Paper standards are available after presenting an identity document and registering in the electronic visitor book. Within the Library you can connect to the Eduroam wireless Internet network (if you encounter any problems connecting to the network, please contact the CUI Helpdesk (IT Services Center)).
Tasks of the Standards Reading Room:
- making available on-site collections of Polish PN standards,
- providing standardization information,
- making doctoral theses available on-site before their defense (at least two weeks before the planned defense date, details: Defense of doctoral theses).
The Standards Reading Room offers:
- 20 workstations,
- 8 computer workstations with Internet access and a basic office package, as well as electronic databases and Polish standards, including 3 workstations for people with visual and motor challenges,
- self-service scanner.
Branches:
The branches offer space for work and a scientific collection of books in the field arranged by departments, most of the books are placed in open access. Each branch also offers specialized Polish and foreign journals. On site, you can use computers with Internet access and MS Office, as well as electronic databases and Polish standards. In each branch you can connect to the Eduroam wireless Internet network (in case of problems with connecting to the network, please contact the CUI Helpdesk (IT Services Center)).
Branch tasks:
- providing literature on site and short-term loans,
- support in collecting literature and assistance in using databases (including electronic resources of books and scientific journals),
- providing specialist information,
- individual and group library and information competence training.

The Gdańsk Tech library is located in various buildings on the campus. The Lending Room, the Hall and the Main Reading Room are located in the Main Library in the Main Building, while eight faculty reading rooms (branches of the Gdańsk Tech Library) are located in sites belonging to individual Gdańsk Tech faculties.
