The members of the Team represent young researchers on key visits of representatives of the commission accrediting the University. Last year, they participated, among others, in meetings with European commissioners in the process of assessing Gdańsk Tech in terms of the implementation of the HR4R Strategy and extending the consent to use the HR distinctionin (16.06.2023) and experts from the IDUB mid-term evaluation committee (07.09.2023).
They organized the 1st Young Researchers Day (14.09.2023) and initiated regular meetings "let's talk about... let's talk to ..." which are places integrating the Gdańsk Tech community.
They took care to create a common channel of communication with young researchers, thanks to which it is possible to send so-called mass e-mails, either to all young researchers or to ones focused on scientific disciplines at the faculties.
The Team asked the Vice-Rector for Science to implement annual action plans for young researchers at faculties and doctoral schools based on the results of a survey examining barriers in individual administrative units of Gdańsk Tech. In response, the authorities of both faculties and doctoral schools have developed plans that will be implemented until June 2024.
In addition, through the implementation of the HR4R Strategy:
- in February 2024, first aid training for PhD students and Gdańsk Tech staff were launched,
- from October 2023, the HR Center has introduced onboarding for newly hired employees,
- on November 2023, the Rector signed an ordinance introducing an employee competence development program, including the Leader Academy for unit managers,
- some applications forms have been introduced (e.g. for applying for grants in IDUB programmes).
