Branch profile:

The branch offers scientific and popular science collections in the field of automation and robotics, electronics, telecommunications, computer science, as well as in the fields of physics, mathematics and biomedical engineering, and also Polish and foreign journals. The shelves in the bookcases are described with the names of departments, and the books are taped with colourful stripes on the spine, according to their department affiliation.

The branch offers:
  • 88 places for individual or team work,
  • 14 computer workstations with Internet access and MS Office, including 4 workstations adapted to the needs of people with special challenges,
  • seminar room with 30 places for individual or group work, equipped with a multimedia projector with an electrically retractable screen, a 70'' monitor, and a whiteboard, possibility of reservation for Gdańsk Tech employees and students; details: Reservations of work place),
  • reading room with 48 places for individual work,
  • 2 acoustic cabins for quiet work (maximum 4 people each). The booths are equipped with adjustable LED lighting, motion‑sensor ventilation, and a power outlet,
  • 2 acoustic lounge chairs equipped with a sliding front panel mechanism which allows the user to detach from the environment, the chairs also have a USB charger,
  • self-check machine enabling library users to borrow and return books independently, without librarian assistance,
  • self-service printer,
  • 3 scanners.
