The analytics tool from Clarivate Analytics is hosted on the Web of Science platform and is used to analyse the scientific output of research institutions based on data from the Web of Science Core Collection (Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Conference Proceedings Citation Index, Book Citation Index, Emerging Sources Citation Index databases) and Journal Citation Reports.
InCites allows for a multi-faceted evaluation of the scientific activity of a given unit, helps to develop research strategies and to make publishing and personnel-administrative decisions. It is also a useful tool for the authors themselves who can define and determine the impact of their scientific output, establish cooperation with scientists from other universities and choose an appropriate source for publishing their research results. InCites also enables analysis of individual journals, publishers, research funding agencies/organizations and selected research areas.
