“Active Parent” program for PhD students

Beneficiaries of the Active Parent program can be PhD students living in Poland, who are parents/guardians of children under 3 years old, and at the same time:
- Polish citizens or,
- EU/EFTA or UK citizens or,
- citizens of another country, if they meet the condition of legal residence in Poland on the basis of a residence card with access to the labour market or on the basis of another document confirming legal residence and access to the labour market.
You can receive the following benefits from the Active Parent program:
-
The Active Parents at Work benefit is available for each child between the ages of 12 and 35 months. However, you are not eligible if your child attends a nursery, kindergarten, children's club or is under the care of a day care provider. If you want to take advantage of this benefit, you need to meet an additional condition of an economically active person, which includes among others those who receive a doctoral scholarship on which contributions to pension and disability insurance are paid (that concerns most doctoral students at the doctoral school). -
The Actively in the nursery benefit is available for children who attend a nursery or children's club (listed in the register of nursery and children's clubs) or are cared for by a day care provider (listed in the list of day care providers) - until the end of the school year in which the child turns 3 years old, and when it is impossible or difficult to cover the child with preschool education - until the end of the school year in which the child turns 4 years old. -
The Actively at home benefit is for each child in the family, between the ages of 12 and 35 months.
