Amazon Poland Development Center Research Grant 2025 (31.05.2025)
Amazon Development Center Poland Sp. z o.o., in cooperation with Gdańsk University of Technology, is launching the call for applications for the Amazon Development Center Poland Research Grant 2025 programme, addressed to doctoral students of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology. The aim of the initiative is to support research in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies for speech, image, and video processing.
The programme offers an opportunity to receive a PLN 20,000 research scholarship. The awards are funded by the Amazon Fund – an initiative supporting the development of education, scientific research, and technological innovation.
Doctoral students of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology who are in at least their second year of doctoral training are eligible to apply. Applications, prepared in English, must be submitted by 31 May 2025 to the following address: gut-grant-2025@amazon.com, with the subject line: “Grant PG 2025 - Wniosek”.
Research proposals may address the following areas:
- Generative Artificial Intelligence.
- Speech, audio, and image generation, including text-to-speech, speech-to-speech translation, and related topics.
- Understanding of speech, audio, music, video, and images.
- Responsible AI, including detection of generated speech or images, and watermarking.
- Video streaming.
- System-on-a-Chip emulation for audio and video processing.
- Audio and video quality enhancement, particularly denoising.
- Optimisation of AI model training and inference processes, including platform-level optimisation.
