Doctoral School PhD students and graduate recognized by the Polish Academy of Sciences
The competition, organised by the Presidium of the PAN Branch in Gdańsk, has been held regularly for 10 years. It consistently promotes the most promising young researchers from the Pomeranian region, which includes the Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, and West Pomeranian Voivodeships, in five scientific fields: humanities and social sciences, biological and agricultural sciences, exact and Earth sciences, technical sciences, and medical sciences.

mgr inż. Chen Xiu – doctoral student scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Management and Economics, began her PhD training in the a.y. 2023/2024 under the supervision of dr hab. Inż. Anna Lis from the Department of Management Engineering and Quality - she was recognised for her research paper: "Collaborative development model and strategies of multi-energy industry clusters: Multi-indicators analysis affecting the development of coastal energy clusters", published in Energy (2024, vol. 295, art. 131036).

mgr inż. Marta Kowalkińska – doctoral student scientifically affiliated with the Faculty Chemistry, began her PhD training in the a.y. 2020/2021 under the supervision of prof. dr hab. inż. Anna Zielińska-Jurek, from the Department of Process Engineering and Chemical Technology – she was recognised for her research paper: "Addressing challenges of BiVO₄ light-harvesting ability through vanadium precursor engineering and sub-nanoclusters deposition for peroxymonosulfate-assisted photocatalytic pharmaceuticals removal", published in Separation and Purification Technology (2024, vol. 351, art. 127643).

dr inż. Mohammad Malikan – the first graduate of the Doctoral School, scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, completed his PhD training in 2022 under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Victor Eremeev, from the Department of Mechanics of Materials and Structures – he was recognised for his research paper: "On mechanics of piezocomposite shell structures" published in the International Journal of Engineering Science (2024, vol. 198, art. 104056).
