FameLab Poland 2026 – call for applications is now open

The University of Silesia in Katowice invites students, PhD students, and PhD holders to participate in the FameLab science communication competition. The participants' task is to fascinate the jury and the audience with their scientific project in just 3 minutes.

The selected semi-finalists will take part in expert training in science communication. The winner of the national final will receive a cash prize and will represent Poland during the international final of the competition in December 2026.

Key information for candidates:

For whom: Students, doctoral school participants, and PhD holders.
Application deadline: Applications are accepted until May 10, 2026.
National final and training: June 8-9, 2026, Katowice.
Prizes: The prize pool for the top three participants is a minimum of PLN 20,000.
