To ensure access to the latest solutions, we have introduced the Primo Research Assistant in the PG Library Catalogue.

The Research Assistant is an innovative tool that uses artificial intelligence technology to support the information search process. It allows users to explore content more accurately, verify information, and discover new resources.

How does it work?

Asking questions: Users can ask questions in everyday language, making the search process more intuitive and accessible.
Instant answers: The system generates answers based on the top five matches, providing a starting point for learning.
Search suggestions: The tool suggests related topics that might be relevant and provide additional information.
Support for multiple languages: Users can ask questions in various languages.

Why is this important?

The Research Assistant helps students and researchers find reliable information and improve their research skills. It makes academic work better. This tool also makes learning and managing information easier and more modern.

Additionally, in the Primo library catalog, there is a new section called "Themed Collections", which includes the collection New printed materials in the Gdańsk Tech Library's collections. The new items are divided by location (Main Library, branches, and the History and Museum Collections of the Gdańsk Tech Lab) and include printed books and journals.
