Holiday Book 2025 – photo contest game | Gdańsk University of Technology

The Gdańsk Tech Library encourages everyone to borrow scientific, popular science, and fiction books for the entire summer break, as well as to take part in a photography competition called "Holiday Book. Show us how your book is spending the summer!" (2nd edition).

The competition begins on 9 June and will run until 10 October this year. It is open to all members of the academic community.

Rules:

• borrow a book;
• take a photo of your book in a holiday setting – perhaps it’s accompanying you on a journey, while you relax in nature, or as you explore interesting places?;
• include your full name, initials, or another signature, the title of the book featured in the photo, and briefly describe the location or circumstances in which the photo was taken;
• send the photo along with the description to: promocja.bpg@pg.edu.pl by 10 October, include "Holiday Book 2025" in the email subject.
• Optional: add a selected quote from the book (one that inspired you, intrigued you, amused you, or otherwise caught your attention), or a short opinion about the book – this will double your chances of winning prizes.

Prizes will be awarded in October:

• to the authors of the three most interesting and beautiful photos, selected by the Library Competition Committee;
• to one person whose name will be drawn from among the remaining photo authors.

Keep in mind: By participating in the competition you give consent for the indefinite and unpaid public sharing of the submitted materials (signed photo with description) by the Gdańsk University of Technology Library.
