Love Data Week 2026
9–13 February 2026 people around the world celebrate Love Data Week. It is an international event about research data and good practices for collecting, organizing, storing, sharing and archiving data for a long time.
This year’s theme "Where are the data?" shows how important data management is at every stage of research.
During Love Data Week, many webinars, workshops, lectures and meetings are organized worldwide. They promote responsible research data management.
More information and current events are available on the organizer’s website: International Love Data Week Events
For Love Data Week, the Gdańsk Tech Library provides the course "Data Management Planning", on the eNauczanie platform. The course is about preparing Data Management Plans (DMP) in research projects.
The course explains the DMP structure, formal requirements and good practices for describing, storing, protecting, sharing and archiving research data. It is for people who do research or prepare grant applications.
Love Data Week is also a chance to present the work of data stewards from Gdańsk University of Technology, done as part of the IDUB programme. As part of this work:
- articles describing datasets (data descriptors) were published
- model Data Management Plans were prepared for research data created at the university
Project materials are available on the IDUB activities website.
