The Museum of the City of Gdynia is a cultural institution that documents and promotes the history and heritage of Gdynia, with particular emphasis on its dynamic development in the 20th century. Its collection includes unique photographs, documents, maps, and artifacts related to the city.
As part of the cooperation, numerous initiatives are being implemented, including thematic queries tailored to the needs of partner institutions, study visits for employees, joint promotional activities, and the transfer of selected images of objects from the collections of both institutions.
An important aspect of the agreement is also the digitization of selected materials from the collections of the Museum of the City of Gdynia, such as photographs, negatives, maps, and documents, using modern scanning technologies available at the PG Library, which will allow for better access to resources for both researchers and residents.
Workshops, exhibitions, and other joint educational and cultural projects are also planned.
