The library training for students of Gdańsk University of Technology is carried out as a mandatory e-course, available on the eNauczanie platform. Students register for the course by themselves, choosing the correct level of study from the list.
For students of Polish-taught programs, Polish-language trainings are available on the Kompetencje informacyjne website.
The training is mandatory for all first-year students of full-time and part-time bachelor's studies for programs taught in English. The goal of the training is to introduce the Library and explain how to use its resources and services.
The e-course covers the following topics:
- basic information about the Library and its collections,
- rules for using the collections and services offered by different departments,
- searching the online catalog and databases.
To pass the training:
- reading the e-course information,
- correctly solving the online test.
The test is available on the eNauczanie platform and must be completed by January 31, 2026. To pass the obligatory library training successfully, a student must score 70% or more of the correct answers. Students can approach the test 3 times.

The training is mandatory for all first-year students of full-time and part-time master’s studies for programs taught in English. The goal of the training is to develop advanced skills in searching, analyzing, evaluating, and using scientific information sources, which are necessary for writing a master’s thesis.
The e-course covers the following topics:
- Elements of the research process,
- Strategy for effective information searching,
- Using the collected information in the diploma thesis.
To pass the training:
- reading the e-course information,
- correctly solving the online test.
The test is available on the eNauczanie platform and must be completed by January 31, 2026. To pass the obligatory library training successfully, a student must score 80% or more of the correct answers. Students can approach the test 2 times.
