NAWA scholarships for the best doctoral students carrying out doctoral projects in international cooperation | Gdańsk University of Technology

Project participants can be Phd students of:

• Gdańsk University of Technology,
• Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk,
• Institute of Hydroengineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk,

admitted to our Doctoral School in 2020-2023, who have submitted an individual research proposal no later than May 29th, 2024, and who can provide an evidence of scientific cooperation with a foreign institution.

This evidence can be is confirmed:

1. Either by an agreement leading to a double doctorate (joint or double degree)
2. The fact that the PhD student has a second supervisor from outside Poland (appointed by the Doctoral School no later than May 29th, 2024)
3. A joint scientific publication with a foreign author.

The rules for applying and awarding scholarships are set forth in the NAWA Scholarship Regulations.

• The applications for a scholarship will be accepted between April 20 and June 3, 2024.
• Applications should be submitted in paper form directly to the STER Project Office, PG Building No. 26, Własna Strzecha 18a, 1st floor, room 102, from  8:00-11:00. Applications should not be submitted to the Doctoral School Office! 
• Applications will be evaluated by a committee. The Office staff is not responsible for the completeness of correctness of applications.
• In addition to the application, the applicant must submit documents related to participation in the project, which are described in the Regulations for Participation in activities funded by the STER Project.

Participation in the project activities  involves the necessity of filling in, signing and delivering to the STER Project Office the following documents:

• application for NAWA scholarship,
• declaration of the project participant concering RODO personal data, 
• additional consent of the participant for the processing of personal data.

Doctoral scholarships in amount of PLN 3,000 per month shall be granted for six months from 1st July 2024 to 31st December 2024 and shall be paid monthly. The scholarship is exempt from income tax.
