Project "Virtual reality technology in architectural heritage and its impact on the conservation of monuments"
The project leader is Szymon Kowalski, MSc, 5th-year PhD student of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, scientifically affiliated with Faculty of Architecture, who began his PhD training in the a.y. 2019/2020, under the supervision of prof. Jakuba Szczepańskiego from the Department of History, Theory of Architecture and Conservation of Monuments. The auxiliary supervisor and project supervisor is dr inż. arch. Piotr Samól from the Department of History, Theory of Architecture and Conservation of Monuments. The amount of funding that has been obtained is PLN 189 120.
Project "Decision support system for the diagnosis of small vessel disease using the synergy of machine learning and radiomics"
The project leader is Maria Ferlin, MSc, Eng., 3rd-year PhD student of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, scientifically affiliated with Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering, who began her PhD training in a.y. 2020/2021, under the supervision of prof. Michał Grochowski from the Department of Intelligent Control Systems and Decision Support, who is also the project supervisor. The amount of funding that has been obtained is PLN 195 200.
Project "More than MoS2: Study of charge storage mechanisms using in-situ Raman measurements in transition metal dichalcogenides as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries"
The project leader is Zuzanna Zarach, MSc, Eng., 4th-year PhD student of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, scientifically affiliated with Faculty of Chemistry, who began her PhD training in a.y. 2020/2021, under the supervision of prof. Andrzej Nowak, from the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Functional Materials, who is also the project supervisor. The auxiliary supervisor is dr inż. Mariusz Szkoda. The amount of funding that has been obtained is PLN 140 000.
Project "Production and properties of polyurethane-wood composites (PU-WC) obtained using bio-polyols synthesized in the process of biomass liquefaction"
The project leader is Adam Olszewski, MSc, Eng., 5th-year PhD student of the Doctoral School at Gdańsk University of Technology, scientifically affiliated with Faculty of Chemistry, who began his PhD training in a.y. 2019/2020, under the supervision of prof. Łukasz Piszczyk from the Department of Polymer Technology, who is also the project supervisor. The amount of funding that has been obtained is PLN 70 000.
