Important registration dates

To obtain PhD student status, receive a scholarship and be registered for social insurance, you must register in person at the Doctoral School office between 25-30 September 2025.

Update 17.09.2025: On Friday, 26 September, the Doctoral School Office will exceptionally be open only until 9:30 a.m.

Documents will be accepted only during the office's opening hours:

• Monday: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
• Wednesday: closed
• Thursday: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Important: For foreigners who may appear at the university at a later date (according to the admissions schedule), documents will be accepted on an ongoing basis, after earlier notification of arrival and appointment for verification of documents.

What should you prepare before visiting the office?

For a successful registration, you will need:

• An account in a Polish bank — obligatory,
• A Polish telephone number — obligatory,
• A PESEL number — to be obtained as soon as possible.

What documents must be submitted?

1. Originals of the documents that were attached as scans in the recruitment system, along with a second-cycle degree diploma — for diplomas obtained abroad, it must bear a legalisation or an apostille.

2. Additional, completed forms:

   • PhD student's Oath,

   • Statement of PhD student for the purpose of doctoral scholarship payment and insurance application,

   • Declaration of tax residence,

   • Declaration of employment,

Important: Before filling out the statements, please carefully read the information on insurance published on our website under the tab: PhD students → Formalities → Insurance and contributions.

The PhD student status is formally granted upon registration, but not earlier than 1 October 2025, while classes will begin on 4 November 2025. As a foreigner, you will receive a formal administrative eDecision on admitting you to our Doctoral School.
