Bonus for scientific publications and patents

The program of the Bonus for scientific publications and patents may be attended by a PhD student of the doctoral studies or Doctoral School at GUT , if he/she is a co-author of a publication or a patent with a university employee.

A bonus for scientific publications and patents can be granted for:

  • authorship/co-authorship of publications in journals with an IF, included in the Scopus database in Q1 or Q2 quartile and having at least 100 points according to the current in 2024 Communication of the Minister of Science and Higher Education on the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed proceedings of international conferences, hereinafter referred to as the Communication,
  • authorship/co-authorship of a monograph with a point value of at least 200 points,
  • authorship/co-authorship of international patents (European patents and patents granted in countries with the prestige, such as the USA and Japan, etc.) owned by the University.

For bonus purposes, published scientific publications and patents obtained after January 1, 2024 are taken into account, as appropriate (in case of publications - articles assigned to a particular journal number and approved in the Moja PG system by 31.05.2024 and 15.01.2025).

The bonus amounts for publications and patents are:

  • an amount equal to the bonus suggested by the faculty bonus rules - in case of publications for 100, 140 and 200 points and monographs for at least 200 points,
  • PLN 5 000  – for international patents

The bonus granted for publication, monograph or international patent is shared among co-authors from the university in accordance with the statement on participation in the publication.

Applications for bonuses should be submitted to the dean's offices at the faculty.
