The program is open to PhD students who co-author a publication or a patent with a university employee conducting scientific activity in disciplines evaluated at the university (i.e., an employee included in the so-called "N number" based on a submitted declaration)
Important: To receive the bonus, the topic of the publication must be related to the pursued PhD research, which requires a written statement from the supervisor.
What achievements are eligible for a bonus?

Scientific articles: in journals with an Impact Factor (IF), included in the Scopus database (Q1 or Q2 quartile), and valued at a minimum of 100 points according to the Ministry's list.

Monographs: with a point value of at least 200 points.

International patents: (e.g., European, or granted in prestigious countries like the USA and Japan) owned by the University.
Additional information on bonus amounts:

The base amount is equal to the bonus suggested by the faculty rules (or PLN 5,000 for international patents).

For a review paper, the bonus from the rector's pool is 50% of the standard scientific article bonus.

The bonus can be increased by PLN 1,500 for co-authorship within the Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk, and by PLN 500 if the publication contains keywords qualifying for sustainable development goals.
Exclusions:
Publications from the "Business Model Open Access" group (e.g., MDPI, Frontiers, Hindawi, PLOS), those awarded in specific programs (like "NITROGENIUM SUPPORTING EXCELLENCE IN PUBLISHING" or "Iconic Scholars"), and any publications violating publishing ethics are not eligible for the bonus.
Application deadlines: Applications (on the form prepared by the Strategic Analysis Center) must be submitted to the Deans' offices by June 27, 2026, or by February 6, 2027.
