Announcement for new international students

Two students
International Relations Office invites newly admitted international students to participate in two important events: Registration Week (February 14-18) and Welcome Meeting (February 22).

In February, more than 100 international students from Europe, Asia and Africa will join the group of students at Gdańsk University of Technology. Most of them, as many as 90, are students who will come under the Erasmus+ program. Among them are students from Turkey, France, Germany, Portugal and Italy. In the group of students who will come to Gdańsk Tech for a full cycle of studies, there are students from Ethiopia, Ukraine, Belarus and Lebanon.

After February 20th, the results of additional recruitment for international students will also be known.

Registration Week

As every semester, the International Relations Office invites new students to participate in Registration Week, during which students must provide original documents to complete the recruitment process. The event is intended only for students who have been admitted to the full cycle of master studies (the event does not apply to Erasmus+ students and doctoral students).

Registration Week will be held on February 14th-18th, from 9:00 to 12:00 in the Hydromechanika building no. 11 (check on the map).

Students are asked to bring the original enrollment documents with them. Please also remember about protective masks, hand disinfection and keeping your distance. Students will receive an e-mail reminder about Registration Week along with a list of documents that they should take with them.

Welcome Meeting

To help new international students (admitted to the full cycle of studies and under the Erasmus+ program) and doctoral students in their first days at the university, the International Relations Office and the Doctoral School invite them to the Welcome Meeting. During the event, students and doctoral students will learn how to legalize their stay in Poland, what to do to be able to use healthcare or how to set up a PESEL number. The meeting will also be an opportunity to familiarize international students and doctoral students with life in Poland - our culture, mentality and language.

The event will also be attended by representatives of the Students' Government, Doctoral Students' Government, Erasmus Student Network Gdańsk and a representative of Gdańsk City Police, who will talk about security issues.

The Welcome Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. online.

The link to the meeting will be sent to all interested persons by e-mail.
