Gdańsk Tech in the Shanghai ranking of academic subjects for the year 2022 | Gdańsk University of Technology

Gdańsk University of Technology was the only University among the Polish participants that was classified within the range of 201-300 in the global ranking for civil engineering discipline. Electrical & electronic engineering were evaluated within the range of 401-500, together with Warsaw University of Technology.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University started publishing the global ranking of universities by academic subject (GRAS) in 2009. The ranking includes 54 categories/disciplines within natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical and social sciences. Over 1800 of 5000 universities from 96 countries and regions were ultimately classified in the ranking.

The ranking takes into account five criteria: the number of scientific articles Q1) the impact of citations by the Category Normalized Citation Impact (CNCI), the participation of international authors in publications (IC) the number of articles in top journals (Top) and the number of significant scientific awards (Award).
