Gdańsk Tech strengthens cooperation with Dalian Minzu University

On November 24 Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdansk Tech) engaged in a productive meeting with representatives from Dalian Minzu University (China) to explore collaborative opportunities and strengthen ties. 

Led by Prof Nieznanski, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and innovation, Gdansk Tech delegation included Prof Christian Jungnickel, Rector's Representative for Cooperation with Asian Higher Education Institutions, as well as academic leaders Prof Agata Kot-Wasik (Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry) and Prof Marek Tobieszewski (Vice Dean of Science of the Faculty of Chemistry), Mrs Anna Modrzejewska, Director of the Internationalization Relations Office, and Mrs. Rong Li, Liaison of Asian Affairs. On the Dalian Minzu University side, the delegation was headed by Prof Zhang Subiao, Vice-President, along with Prof Cao Jijuan, Dean of the College of Life Sciences, and A. Prof Han Lingyu, Associate Professor of the College of Life Sciences.

The meeting emphasized academic collaboration and exchange. Both parties expressed a general interest in fostering joint research initiatives, faculty exchanges, and collaborative programs. Student exchange programs and possibilities were mentioned. The dialogue extended to the possibility of organizing joint conferences which would provide a platform for academics from Gdansk Tech and DMU to engage in meaningful academic discourse. Throughout the meeting, Prof Nieznanski and Prof Zhang Subiao exchanged ideas on internationalization strategies. This meeting laid a foundation for a promising collaboration that is poised to benefit the academic communities of Gdansk Tech and DMU.
