What COIL method is? TU Berlin invites lectures for a meeting (January 29)

TU Berlin meeting on COIL
TU Berlin, partner of Gdansk University of Technology in the ENHANCE Alliance, invites academic teachers and all those interested in modern forms of education to participate in an online meeting dedicated to the COIL method (Collaborative Online International Learning). The event will take place on Monday, January 29th, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Zoom platform. Prior registration is required.

What is the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) method? In short, it is a method of conducting a course where lecturers and students from at least two countries meet in a virtual classroom and collaborate online, breaking down national boundaries, to work on a given issue. COIL courses can be integrated into the curriculum or offered as additional classes. Participating in a COIL course allows both lecturers and students to develop professional, digital, and intercultural competencies.

Watch a short film explaining what the COIL method is.

The meeting organized by TU Berlin will be an introduction to the COIL method and how academic teachers can integrate it into their work at the university. The guest of the event will be Ana Carolina Vázquez Naranjo from Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), who will share her experience in implementing courses using the COIL method. Participants of the meeting will include academic teachers, educators, methodologists, and other specialists from TU Berlin and other German universities, as well as partner universities within the ENHANCE Alliance.

The event is part of the BeCOIL project carried out by the Berlin School of Economics and Law (project leader) in collaboration with other German universities, including TU Berlin. More information about the project can be found on this website.
