Gdańsk University of Technology to host an international promotion strategies conference

On June 6, 2024, Gdańsk University of Technology will be hosting the “Summit on international promotion in HEI” in Competence Center STOS, under the patronage of the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde. Experts from global higher education-related institutions will share their experience and knowledge on promoting university effectively. Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office is responsible for the organization and program of the event. The conference is part of the NAWA “Welcome to Poland” program.

In June 2023, Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office (IRO) started a project “Międzynarodowa promocja Politechniki Gdańskiej” (“International promotion of Gdańsk University of Technology”), financed by NAWA, “Welcome to Poland 2022” program. From the obtained funds – approximately PLN 300,000 – Gdańsk Tech will pay for, among others: two new promotional films, a photo session, employee training, and promotion of the university on the Internet. One of the most important activities under the project is the conference and a workshop on the international promotion of universities, with the participation of experts and practitioners from the HEI community.

Participants and topics 

The summit will be held in English and Polish, IRO will take care of translating the content. Panels 1 and 2 will be conducted in English, with international guests, and panels 3 and 4, conducted in Polish, will be focused on local institutions. 


PANEL 1: "International Higher Education Promotion Strategies: Analyzing Key Elements of Effective Campaigns and Practices for Building a Strong Global Presence. Collaborative Development of Inter-Institutional Strategies."

The second day of the summit will be dedicated to the internal Gdańsk Tech workshop on international promotion strategy. The workshop will be conducted by Paul Vu from Keystone Education Group. Paul has taken care of the visibility of Gdańsk Tech’s offer on masterstudies.com and bachelorstudies.com for four years now. Recently, he produced single-handedly a promo movie – a walk on Gdańsk Tech campus and released the film on the Keystone Education Group Youtube channel (you can watch it here). 

A summary of conclusions from the whole summit with workshops will be presented on the International Relations Office website.
