The ENHANCE European University consists of ten leading European technical universities. Apart from Gdańsk University of Technology, which joined the alliance in 2022, it includes: Berlin University of Technology, RWTH Aachen, Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Milan University of Technology, Valencia University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Zurich University of Technology (ETH) and Delft University of Technology.

The Board of Directors is the highest body of the alliance; its members are, as a rule, rectors and presidents of universities that are part of the alliance. One of the items on the agenda of the board meeting, which took place on 6 November in Delft, the Netherlands, was the election of a two-person presidium of the Council for the term of office 2025-2027.

The meeting was chaired by the current chair, Prof. Geraldine Rauch, Rector of the Technical University of Berlin. A Vice-Chair of the Council was also elected. This is Prof. Mariusz Malinowski, Vice-Rector for Science at the Warsaw University of Technology.

– Presiding the ENHANCE European University is both an honor and an obligation for me. Thank you for your trust - said Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech after the vote - ENHANCE is the English equivalent of the verb to strengthen, to increase. Working with partners such as TU Berlin, ETH Zurich, TU Delf and the Warsaw University of Technology is an opportunity to strengthen the strong European scientific potential, exchange experiences and conduct joint projects. It is also an opportunity for our students to study at the most prestigious technical universities in Europe.
