Tourist Highlights of Gdańsk and the region

What is so special about Gdańsk and Pomerania? How to present the beauty of our city and the region to international guests visiting Gdańsk University of Technology? That was the topic of our meeting with the representatives of local touristic organizations, which took place on Wednesday, 25th of June. The event was organized as a part of NAWA project (Welcome to Poland).

During the meeting we had a pleasure to host Michał Brandt from Gdańsk Tourist Organisation (GOT) and Magdalena Węgrowicz from Pomeranian Local Tourist Organisation (PROT).

Gdańsk Tech staff members from various units and Faculties of our University had an opportunity to expand their knowledge about wide range of local attractions in our city and the whole region – having in mind our international guests. This includes both – short term visitors coming to Gdańsk Tech and international members of our academic community (employees, PhD students, and students) who stay in Gdańsk for longer time.
We discussed about must-sees spots as well as less obvious attractions – both in the Tri-City area and across the wider Pomeranian region.

The meeting was organized as part of the project “Internationalization of Gdańsk University of Technology: development of WELCOME SERVICES / promotion of WELCOME CULTURE” no. BNP/WTP/2023/1/00169/U/00001, funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) within the Welcome to Poland programme.
