Summer School “Physics-Informed Machine Learning for Geotechnical Engineering” – Applications Open
The programme is aimed at students in engineering, geophysics, computer science, and applied mathematics who are interested in applying machine learning methods combined with physical laws to solve engineering problems.
The Summer School consists of two parts. From 13–17 July 2026, participants will attend an online introductory course covering the fundamentals of machine learning, data preparation, and Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs), along with an introduction to Python and scientific computing tools. This will be followed by an on-site workshop in Aachen from 20–24 July 2026, where students will work in teams in a hackathon-style setting to solve real-world geotechnical modelling challenges.
The programme offers participants the opportunity to strengthen their technical skills while collaborating in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
Application deadline: April 30, 2026
