Gdańsk Tech and Tsinghua SIGS – strengthening our academic and research Cooperation | Gdańsk University of Technology

The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on more than two years of cooperation between our institutions and, most importantly, to discuss how we can further develop this partnership in the years ahead.

Our cooperation began in 2024 and has already resulted in academic and research visits, scientific seminars, student and doctoral mobility, research internships, laboratory work, summer-school participation, cooperation between student organisations, doctoral-level collaboration and joint scientific publications.

Importantly, the cooperation is truly bilateral. Students and doctoral candidates from Gdańsk Tech have conducted research activities at Tsinghua SIGS, while researchers and doctoral candidates from Tsinghua have visited Gdańsk for internships, seminars and laboratory work.

During the meeting, representatives of both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the partnership. Discussions focused on involving more research groups, creating additional opportunities for students and doctoral candidates, developing joint publications and research projects, and identifying areas where cooperation can become even more systematic and long-term.
