During your stay. Worth knowing.

Changes to the internship program

During your internship abroad, you can make changes to the internship program. How?
1. complete and sign the document "Learning Agreement Student Mobility for Traineeships_during mobility"
2. hand over the document for signature to the host institution / company
3. Send a scan of the document to the university's Erasmus + coordinator, and then to IRO

You will receive confirmation of consent to make changes to the internship program by e-mail - without this confirmation, you cannot make any decisions regarding changes to the internship program

Extension of stay

You can apply for permission to extend the mobility, provided that you have not used up your mobility capital (each degree is 12 months to use).

If you want to extend your internship, please contact IRO by e-mail for preliminary approval. After obtaining such preliminary consent, provide IRO with consent from your faculty to extend the internship signed by the appropriate vice-dean. Each faculty determines the template of such a letter itself - you should ask about it in the dean's office. The most important thing is to provide the exact dates of extending your stay in your application.

Then you need to:
1. send by e-mail to IRO the completed document "Learning Agreement Student Mobility for Traineeships_during mobility" with the signature of you, the host institution and the faculty coordinator of Gdańsk Tech. This only applies to extensions of stay by min. 2 weeks - in other cases, you do not need to provide this document
2. mark in the OLS language support system the change of the departure date
3. send an e-mail confirmation of insurance for an additional period to IRO
4. mark the changes in the dates of stay in the Odyseusz system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

After completing the above-mentioned points, you will receive an annex to the financial agreement by traditional mail, which must be returned with the original signature at the IRO headquarter or sent back by traditional mail.

The scholarship is calculated daily. Therefore, the differences between the dates of stay set out in the financial agreement signed with the student and the dates entered in the confirmation of stay issued by the host institution at the end of the stay will affect the amount of the last billing installment.

Shortening your stay

If you intend to shorten your stay by a few days/weeks/months, be sure to contact the International Relations Office by e-mail/phone to determine the conditions and further formalities, as well as with your Gdańsk Tech faculty (but only if shortening your stay results in failure to meet the assumptions set out in "Learning Agreement"; otherwise you do not need to provide this document).

Shortening the stay is possible while maintaining the minimum length of stay on internships, which is 60 days. If the minimum is not met, you will be required to return the entire scholarship received. This situation does not apply to the occurrence of the so-called force majeure.

The scholarship is calculated to the day. Therefore, the differences between the dates of stay set out in the financial agreement signed with the student and the dates entered in the confirmation of stay issued by the host institution at the end of the stay will affect the amount of the last settlement installment.
