Changes to the internships curriculum

During the placement abroad the student may make changes to the placement programme, (but no later than one month after you have started your Internships),

How do I make a change to my Internship programme?

1. complete and sign the "Learning Agreement - During mobility" document
2. forward the document to the host institution/company for signature
3. send a scan of the document to the Eramus+ University Coordinator and then to DMWA

The student will receive an email confirmation of approval make a change in the Internship programme - without this confirmation the student cannot make any decisions regarding changes to the Internship programme.

Extension of stay

A student may request a mobility extension, but on condition that:
1. has not used up his/her mobility capital (there are 12 months to use up for each study level)

2. the application must be submitted no later than one month before the end of the initial period of mobility as stipulated in the agreement

Students wishing to extend their placement should contact DMWA by email for preapproval. Once this pre-approval has been obtained, you should

1. provide the DMWA with permission from your faculty to extend your internship with the signature of the competent associate dean. Each faculty determines its own template for such a letter - enquire at the dean's office. Most importantly, include the exact dates of the extension in the application
2. provide the DMWA with an application for an extension of the internship addressed to the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Innovation. The application should state the exact dates of the extension. DMWA will forward the document to the Vice-Rector for signature and will notify the student by email when the application has been signed

After receiving the approval from the Vice-Rector you should:
1. complete, and  email "Learning Mobility for Traineeships - During the mobility document to DMWA, once signed by you, the host institution and Gdańsk University of Technology faculty coordinator (a scanned form is sufficient, unless the faculty requires otherwise).  2 weeks (in other cases this document does not have to be provided)
2. change of the departure datein the Erasmus+ OLS linguistic support system
3. e-mail your confirmation of insurance for the additional period
4. change the dates of stay in the Odysseus system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Once you have completed the above responsibilities, you will be posted via snail mail with a Financing Agreement Addendum, sign it and submit to the DMWA (you may sent by standard, registered mail or submitted in person

Shortening of stay

If the student intends to shorten his/her stay by a few days/weeks/months, he/she must contact DMWA immediately in order to establish the conditions and further formalities, and also with the Faculty at Gdańsk University of Technology (but only if the shortening of the stay results in default on the assumptions set out in the Learning Agreement; in other cases, this document does not have to be provided).

A stay may be shorter stay is possible provided the minimum duration of the study stay is respected, which is 2 months (60 days). If the student fails to keep the minimum, he/she must reimburse the entire scholarship received. This situation does not refer to the so-called force majeure.
