From Local Media Straight to Nature – Discover the Story of Marta Kowalkińska
Publishing in a journal from the Nature family is a milestone in any scientist's career and an absolutely exceptional achievement for an early-career researcher. We are delighted that her hard work and dedication are being recognized at the highest international level.
Let us recall that Marta Kowalkińska was recently featured in an article from the "Young Scientists from the Tricity" series, published on the trójmiasto.pl portal. The publication outlined her scientific path – from her interest in engineering, through her studies in nanotechnology, to her current research in photocatalysis at the Faculty of Chemistry. The article also shed light on her research topics, including her work on removing pharmaceutical pollutants from water. Moreover, Marta was recently granted a distinction by the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) for an outstanding scientific publication.
We encourage you to explore our PhD student's latest publication and the materials documenting her previous successes:
- Article in Nature Reviews Clean Technology: Probing the surface of photoactive semiconductors using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
- Article in trójmiasto.pl: Young Scientists from the Tricity. "I didn't go to tutoring; I tried to prove everything myself"
- Information on the PAS distinction: Doctoral School PhD students and graduate recognized by the Polish Academy of Sciences
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Marta on this incredible achievement! We are proud to be a part of her scientific journey and wish her further, equally spectacular successes.
