ATTENTION!

Regarding the questions raised during the meeting about the deadline for updating the IRP before the mid-term evaluation, we would like to clarify that the regulation about freezing the deadline for updating the IRP this year is indeed not in effect. The regulations described on our website https://pg.edu.pl/en/doctoral-school/phd-students/training/individual-research-proposal that have been in place since the beginnings of the school are current. Nevertheless, due to the irregularities that appeared for the first time during last year's evaluation, the school will inform the committees of the date when doctoral students update their IPB to avoid similar situations during this year's evaluation, so it is in the interest of the doctoral student to update the plan as early as possible.

In 2023, the current regulation was misused by doctoral students, which could suggest that doctoral students want to match the plan with its actual execution, which would be contrary to its intention and the point of the evaluation itself. Therefore, this point will change with the new academic year - for the mid-term evaluation conducted in 2025.

Since we had already written down the comments (detected irregularities) during last year's evaluation (of 2023) in order to take them into account in the next evaluation, and the regulations are issued 5 months before the start of the academic year, the latest findings were kept in our minds. Hence, there was some confusion on the subject during the meeting, for which we apologize.

A presentation from the meeting and other important information has been provided on the e-learning platform. Link to the meeting on the e-learning platform here.
