Dormitory No. 12 for PhD students

1. For whom?

PhD students undertaking PhD training at Doctoral School of Gdańsk University of Technology can apply for a dormitory.
A PhD student may apply to have his/her spouse and/or children assigned to the same room.

2. Where?

PhD students at the GUT have the right to live in the Dormitory No. 12, located at Traugutta 115A street. All rooms are single, most of them in 2-room connectors with shared bathroom and kitchenette with fridge.

Even if there are vacant rooms in DS 12, the assignment of a separate room to a spouse and/or children is not possible. DS 12 has no facilities for families with children.

We are not able to guarantee a place in a single room in DS-12. Places in dormitories will be given only to those PhD students who will apply through mojaPG system within the deadline for assigning dormitories and will come to PG by the end of October.

3. How to get a place in Dormitory No. 12?

In order to get a place in the dormitory, a PhD student must fill in the application form in the mpjaPG system within the required deadline.
Failure to submit the application form and arrival after 30th September results in no possibility of accommodation in the dormitory.
In case of newly accepted candidates, there is a pool of 30% of places and proportional distribution of places for Polish and foreigners in accordance with the current distribution of places in the Doctoral School established by the Rector's decree.

In case of no vacancies in DS-12, PhD students are directed to other dormitories with double rooms. Places in dormitories and rooms are assigned randomly depending on the date of arrival at the university.

4. Fees

Fees must be paid by the 20th day of the month (PhD students) or 10 (other residents). During the academic year, fees are automatically calculated in mojaPG - payable by bank transfer to an individual account. During the holidays, payment is avaible only in cash directly at the dormitory.
