The PhD student at the doctoral school (doctoral scholarship) is subject to compulsory social insurance in the field of retirement and disability pension contributions as well as accident insurance. Sickness contribution is voluntary, and because it will reduce the amount of scholarship paid, we do not recommend doctoral students to apply for it.
Funding of contributions social insurance:
- contribution: old-age pension insurance is financed in equal parts by the doctoral student and the university,
- contribution: disability pension insurance is financed by the doctoral student and the university,
- contribution: sickness insurance (voluntary) is financed entirely by the doctoral student,
- contribution: accident insurance is financed entirely by the university.
