FarU Libraries collections - how to activate an account? | Gdańsk University of Technology

Dear Readers,
it is our pleasure to announce that the staff, students and PhD students can now access the library collections of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk.

• You can request books from the FarU Libraries and track your activity (loans, requests, returns and fines) in a given library using the Gdańsk Tech Library account.
• You can borrow books using a valid Electronic Student ID or the Gdańsk Tech Library card.

In order to access the library collections of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk, you only need to activate an account in a given library. The account will be automatically paired with the Gdańsk Tech Library account. You can activate the account:

• Online:

1. Sign in to the online catalogue of the Gdańsk Tech Library using the login details for the Gdańsk Tech Account (Central Authentication Service).
2. Choose: "FarU Libraries (Gdańsk Tech, UG, GUMed)" as the search area and find the book you are looking for.
3. Click on the title of the book from the list of versions and choose University of Gdańsk or Medical University of Gdańsk.
4. Choose: "Click to activate your account in this library".
5. Your account has been activated!

• In the library:

1. Bring a valid Electronic Student ID or the Gdańsk Tech Library card – the librarian will activate your account.

Remember that readers who borrow books from the FarU Libraries are obliged to follow the rules of the lending unit.
