Summer School in Latvia - registration until 1 July

Riga Technical University - the largest university in Latvia and one of the oldest technical universities in Europe, invites students to participate in Summer School Applications will be collected until 1 July. The number of vacancies is limited.   

So far, 1500 participants from all over the world have participated in summer and winter schools organized by Riga Technical University since 2000. Next year's edition will take place from 22 July to 25 August. We invite bachelor’s degree and master’s degree students, as well as doctoral students to participate in the event. 


Why should you participate?

- you can obtain from 4.5 to 6 ECTS for participation in the course
- you can make new acquaintances and contacts - students from all over the world take part in summer school 
- it’s a great opportunity to improve your language competences 


Courses available

Summer School offers both courses for engineers (e.g. nanophotonics or drone construction and applications) and more general courses, such as intensive English and intercultural communication courses or meetings for future leaders focused on improving students' digital and soft skills. The courses will be conducted in English.

Costs of participation

The costs of participation, depending on the type of course vary from 700 to 1000 euro. The fee includes accommodation in a dormitory and participation in additional events (tours and other activities). Other costs - transport, food etc. to be covered by the participants. Unfortunately, Summer School cannot be financed from Erasmus+ program. 


ECTS

Students will get 6 ECTS for completion of a selected course (except for Time Capsule of Latvian Footprints, which gives 4.5 ECTS) and certificates.

Applications to participate in Summer School can be submitted through the website. Each course requires individual registration.
