TU Berlin invites students to participate in the Summer School 2024

TU Berlin, one of the leading technical universities in Germany, invites students from around the world to join courses offered during the Summer School (July 1 - August 23, 2024). We encourage students from Gdańsk Tech to register for this event.

As part of the Summer School organized by TU Berlin, students can participate in courses covering topics such as computer science, sustainable development, design, entrepreneurship, and many other interesting and relevant subjects. We encourage students from Gdańsk Tech to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in this unique initiative. During the program, you will not only gain knowledge and skills crucial for your future engineering career, but also have the chance to meet peers from around the world, make friends, and spend part of your summer in beautiful Berlin. 😉

Who can participate in the Summer School?

Students of bachelor's and master's degree programs.


When will the Summer School take place?

The Summer School will run from July 1 to August 23. Individual courses last from 2 to 4 weeks. Students can choose between on-site courses: July 1-12 or July 15 - August 9 or August 12-23, and online courses: July 15 - August 9 or August 12-23.


Which courses are available in the Summer School?

Students can choose from 20 on-site courses and 1 online course, including Engineering Innovation, Sustainable Buildings: Principles and Modeling, CanSat: Satellite Design, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Fly High: Drones for the Public Benefit, and many more. Will I receive ECTS points for participating in the Summer School?

Yes, depending on the chosen course, participants will receive between 3 and 5 ECTS points.


What language will the classes be conducted in?

Classes in the Summer School will be conducted in English.


What is the cost of participation in the Summer School?

Participation in the Summer School is fee-based. Each participant must pay a registration fee of 60 euros and, depending on the chosen course, pay the participation fee. Prices for on-site courses range from 550 euros to 2470 euros, and the online course is 1080 euros. Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to receive funding from Gdańsk Tech under the Erasmus+ program for this trip.

What does the participation fee cover?

  • social program (excursions, museum entrance tickets, sports activities, etc.),
  • public transportation tickets in Berlin,
  • access to Wi-Fi and the university library.

What will you have to pay for yourself?

  • transportation to and from Berlin,
  • accommodation (participants can reserve accommodation through TU Berlin, with prices ranging from 882 euros to 1848 euros for the entire stay for a given course. More information can be found here. Participants can also arrange accommodation on their own - it is not necessary to use the accommodation offered by TU Berlin. Important - TU Berlin does not offer accommodation in its dormitories.
