Work Package 2 focuses on engaging employees and supporting their professional development, contributing to the creation of joint, innovative, knowledge-creating European organization.

Objectives

Planned tasks
  1. To develop and support diverse career pathways and job enrichment:
  • exchange of experiences, practices and expectations of all member universities,
  • increase diversity, inclusion and gender equality,
  • introduce international mentoring and networking programs for young researchers.
     
  1. To build excellence in academic teaching:
  • use innovative teaching methods and newest knowledge in education,
  • collect and analyze the existing methodologies,
  • organize workshops for teachers and trainers on innovative education methods and tools that support their development, as well as access to knowledge and recommendations on future learning,
  • extend  the Certificate in Higher Education Teaching program fostering the professional development of academic staff,
  • develop and remodel new courses using innovative education methods,
  • online consultations between trainers and individual academics.
     
  1. To develop employee soft skills and social competencies:
  • provide resources and training programs for academic and non-academic staff, with emphasis on employees with fewer opportunities and functional diversit,y
  • extend the international and intercultural skills through “Certificate International for Employees”, developed by RWTH,
  • develop the language tandem program to encourage multilingualism,
  • introduce international counselling for PhD supervisors.
     
  1. To raise staff wellbeing:
  • improve employee satisfaction through incentive and reward schemes,
  • conduct surveys and online discussion panels on staff wellbeing,
  • draft regulations and policies, and wellbeing and mental health manifesto,
  • conduct Wellbeing Camps hosted by Gdańsk Tech to support wellbeing actions and offer trainings in stress relief, mindfulness, managing mental health crises and occupational burnout.
     
Deliverables
  1. Developed methods and solutions to support employee growth and satisfaction.
  2. Certificate in Higher Education Teaching (CHET) programme successfully developed and expanded.
  3. Staff mobility and international experience opportunities strengthened.
