Project Title: PROM – short-term academic exchange (marketing name: Expand Your Horizons with Gdańsk Tech)
Project Aim
The main objective of the Project is to improve the quality of education and advance internationalization at Gdańsk University of Technology through short-term scholarship exchanges for students, PhD students and staff. The Project also lists specific objectives, namely:
- development of professional competencies related to the acquisition of specialized knowledge and improvement of language skills, as well as personal competencies connected with acquiring communication skills, creativity or working in an international environment;
- an increase in the quality of education by enabling Gdańsk Tech students, PhD students and staff to access the wide educational offer of foreign partner universities in Europe and beyond;
- an increase in the quality of education through the creation and implementation of appealing educational summer/winter schools, courses and other events in English at Gdańsk Tech addressed to foreign students, PhD students and staff;
- an increase in the number of completed short-term exchanges for students, PhD students and staff through access to more flexible exchange forms.
Planned Activities
Within the Project, the following activities will be undertaken:
- student and PhD student arrivals and departures for summer and winter schools provided in stationary and hybrid format;
- student, PhD student and staff arrivals and departures for international conferences;
- student, PhD student and staff arrivals and departures to partner universities in order to obtain materials for master's/doctoral theses and research papers and/or to do research using unique research equipment;
- student, PhD student and staff arrivals and departures for participation in study visits to partner universities.
The Project will cover about 250 people - students, PhD students and staff, including about 170 people from Gdańsk Tech and about 80 people from foreign universities.
