Preparing for an interview, remember to:

  • check the appointment details, location, name and contact number of the person who conducts the meeting. You should also check how long the session will last and whether you should prepare for it specially;
  • obtain as much information as possible about the company that invited you to the meeting;
  • thinking about what questions may prove troublesome during the interview and preparing/practicing answers to them;
  • preparation of documents concerning your qualifications (CV, projects, diplomas, certificates of employment, references, etc.);
  • preparing your questions (about the further recruitment process, tasks for the position, etc.);
  • take care of your image, prepare an appropriate dress code, elegant, adapted to the situation. 

Preparing for an online interview:

  • keep your room tidy;
  • inform flatmates about the meeting;
  • check the Internet connection and computer operation (including camera and headphones);
  • prepare appropriate, casual clothing;
  • mute notifications on your phone.

During the meeting:

  • be on time, a few minutes early. If you know you will be late, inform the person you are meeting in advance;
  • take a moment to calm your thoughts and concentrate;
  • turn off or silence your cell phone;
  • try to make the best first impression with a firm handshake, eye contact, smile, enthusiasm;
  • answer questions concisely and to the point, listen actively;
  • in the end, ask a few additional questions about the job, the recruitment process;
  • after the interview, thank you for the meeting.
