Do you thrive in finance and accounting and want your career to take off? Maybe you need to learn how to build your position so that companies start to notice you? If the answer is "yes", then the ACCA EU Virtual Careers Fair on 21 October is organised for you. Whether you have experience or are just taking your first steps on the labour market.

21 October 2021, Online. Registration: https://accaeuvcf.vfairs.com/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=local&utm_campaign=euvcfuni1

Participation in the fair is completely free of charge. It is organised for both beginners and employees with at least a few years of experience. It is a good opportunity to meet employers "face-to-face" and talk via video chat about your career path.

How to prepare a good CV? Which skills will be useful during an interview? How to look for a job and develop a career in a changing economic landscape? These are just some of the questions that participants will be able to ask a career advisor, and get answers to them from a range of materials with professional tips to bring a career in finance up to speed.

Polish talent for global leaders

Nearly 50 regional and international organisations will be involved in the process of "catching" talents during this year's ACCA EU Virtual Careers Fair. These are representatives of several industries, including finance, consulting, banking, auditing, technology or energy.

– A great advantage of the fair is its international character. We know that in Poland we have many talented and experienced professionals, but also many people who are looking for opportunities to make their mark in the financial and accounting professions. Using ACCA's network of relationships with world business leaders, we create a place for meeting employers and candidates in order to get to know each other and convince them they are a good match – says Przemek Olszewski, who is responsible for co-organising the event on behalf of ACCA Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States.

He reminds that job offers for financiers, accountants, auditors or analysts in companies cooperating with ACCA are also published on the ACCA Careers platform: https://jobs.accaglobal.com/. At the moment, there are more than 940 active advertisements solely in Poland. If we add other European countries, we will find several thousand open recruitment processes.

Online almost like a real life

This year the event will be held in an online format. Participants will be able to visit virtual stands of employers, get acquainted with their offers and also talk directly with recruiters. The platform on which the fair will be organised allows employers and participants to talk face-to-face via video chat and voice calls. This will not only smooth the application process, but also provide a more engaging contact experience.

– We encourage candidates to upload their CVs to the platform during registration. This increases the likelihood that employers will read the CV not only during the event, but also before the fair. Alternatively, if a candidate uses the social networking site LinkedIn, they can provide a link to their profile – adds Przemek Olszewski.
