MSc Eng. Łukasz Cichocki
Mr. Łukasz is scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He began his PhD training in the 2022/2023 academic year in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy [IŚGiE], under the supervision of dr hab. inż. Grzegorz Boczkaj.Since the 2024/2025 academic year he serves as the Deputy-Chairman of Gdańsk University of Technology Doctoral Students’ Self-government.

MSc Eng. Balbina Makurat-Kasprolewicz
Ms. Balbina is scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. She began her PhD training in the 2021/2022 academic year in the discipline of mechanical engineering [IMe] under the supervision of dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Ossowska and dr inż. Marcin Wekwejt.She recently represented Gdańsk University of Technology at the prestigious Society For Biomaterials Annual Meeting & Exposition in Chicago, presenting the results of her research in the form of a scientific poster entitled “Influence of Ultrasound on Micro-Arc Oxidized Coatings on Ti-13Nb-13Zr Alloy for Biomedical Application”.

MSc Eng. Szymon Królak
Mr. Szymon is scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics. He began his PhD training in the 2023/2024 academic year in the discipline of materials engineering [IMa] under the supervision of prof. dr hab. inż. Tomasz Klimczuk.He is also a laureate of the “Pearls of Science” program by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. As part of the awarded funding, he is carrying out a project entitled “Layered transition metal oxypnictides: Kondo screening, magnetism and superconductivity.” He was also granted a scholarship under the Bekker program by NAWA, thanks to which he will carry out the project “Searching for quantum critical points in systems at the border of magnetic order” in the group of prof. Paul Canfield, an expert in crystal growth and solid-state physics at Ames International Laboratory (Iowa State University).

MSc Eng. Ewelina Pawelczyk
Ms. Ewelina is scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Chemistry. She began her PhD training in the 2021/2022 academic year in the discipline of chemical sciences [NCh] under the supervision of dr hab. inż. Jacek Gębicki and dr inż. Izabela Frąckiewicz.She is a member of Gdańsk University of Technology Doctoral Students’ Self-government and of the Young Researchers Team, representing our doctoral students.

MSc Eng. Joanna Pośpiech
Ms. Joanna is scientifically affiliated with the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics. She began her PhD training in the academic year 2021/2022 in the discipline of materials engineering [IMa] under the supervision of dr hab. inż. Aleksandra Mielewczyk-Gryń.At the early stage of her scientific career, she was recognised for her master’s thesis “Manufacturing of ceramic coatings using 3D printing” in the Prof. Romuald Szczęsny competition, which aims to select the most innovative diploma theses.
