Closing meeting of the programme Social Responsibility of Science | Gdańsk University of Technology

We would like to invite you to the closing meeting of the project for the conservation and digitisation of old prints entitled: "Science according to Euler, Bernoulli and Hell". The event is one of the elements of the implementation of the programme Społeczna Odpowiedzialność Nauki. Moduł Wsparcie dla bibliotek naukowych (eng. Social Responsibility of Science. Support for Scientific Libraries). Thanks to the funding obtained from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Gdańsk Tech Library has restored and digitised 16 volumes from the historic collections, which are now available on the Pomeranian Digital Library website.

Four scheduled presentations in Polish will focus on the historical book collection at Gdańsk Tech, conservation work and its importance in preserving the unique book collection, the implementation of current and previous ministerial projects by Gdańsk Tech Library staff, and activities that can be undertaken by making the works available in the digital library. The meeting will be accompanied by an exhibition summarising the effects of the project and promoting the library's most precious collections.

The event will take place on 16 September 2024 in the Hevelius courtyard of the Main Building of the Gdansk University of Technology, 11/12 Narutowicza St., from 15⁰⁰ to 18⁰⁰.
